On February 24th, The Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona, was packed wall to wall with fans eager to witness Role Model’s latest tour. With three clicks of your heels, the venue was at full capacity, the crowd was a sea of red cowboy boots and denim—fans channeling a mix of Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and Western flair. The anticipation was palpable, with audience members roaring in excitement, many hoisting signs in the air professing their love for the artist.
Role Model, the moniker of Tucker Pillsbury, has long been known for his raw, confessional songwriting and emotionally charged performances. Blending indie pop, alternative rock, and subtle hip-hop influences, his music speaks to themes of love, heartbreak, and self-reflection.
