Boston-based artist Ana Schon released her album “Portrato” on June 30th, featuring nine catchy tracks.

Starting off strong with the title track, “Portrato” provides an upbeat introduction to the full album. Whether you’re looking for a song to scream along to in the car, or a song to sit and digest, “Portrato” will have exactly the vibe you’re looking for as Schon leaves the listener with a song for each emotion. Between more melancholic tracks like “You Would Never” and “Expiration Date,” and tracks with an electronic feel such as “Damn!!,” Ana Schon rounds out the album perfectly. Schon’s lyricism expands across each track, drawing the listener in with the depth. Track eight off of “Portrato” is “Medicine,” a fan favorite that was previously released as a single on January 26th. “The doctor said you need medicine For the state of the world you’re living in That you’ve gotta stop imagining And be more afraid,” Schon sings, verbalizing the relatable fear of current events and the future of the world. Ana Schon closes out the album with “Bell Bottoms,” a lowkey, nostalgic track featuring guitar. Her storytelling skills continue to show throughout her writing as she draws the project to a close.

From the indie fans, to the electronic fans, to the listeners who enjoy a more singer-songwriter feel, “Portrato” by Ana Schon is the album to stream this summer.
