UK based artist Bekah Bossard might have just debuted earlier this year, but is quickly becoming someone to watch out for.

Releasing their new song “Four Walls” detailing a somber and lonely battle with depression and anxiety. With Bekah’s angelic melody yet dispiriting lyrics, it is easy to find yourself in the comfort of the walls caving in Bekah describes.

“I don’t know where to start,” could not encompass a feeling many know all too well, any better, almost making you feel at home as Bekah tells of not knowing where to begin the journey of recovery or when the day is going to come. The vulnerability shined through not only the lyrics, but the stripped back production by Ellie Mason, allowing you to fall back and be entangled in the take over of depression.

“Four Walls,” is seemingly an honest and realistic depiction of the nasty disease with no sugar coating, yet somehow leaves you feeling safe enough to keep listening.

The song fades out as the words “we both know that I’m so far from fine, but when I’m with you I might be alright,” echo as it seems there may have been a resolution found in the midst of depression’s chaos. A beacon of hope in a support system the rest of the song is trying to reach the entire time.

With this only being Bekah’s second song to release, their candor is refreshing and sets her apart from other artists today only chasing their 15 minutes on Tiktok. With this only being the beginning, a close eye will be kept on her for more to come as she supports Ten Tonnes on tour later this year.
